Staffin Bay, Isle of Skye

Located just off the A855 on the northeast tip of Skye, the road to Staffin Bay is little more than a track in places, but it’s easy enough to get to. You can park along this road alongside the sea wall, or carry on to the end of the road at the small slipway and harbour. Wherever you park, there are loads of places to explore around the bay. To the south you have the dramatic basalt column cliffs, while to the north there’s a more open view towards the Quiraing.
The cliffs are east facing, so they are ideal for sunrise shots, but if you visit at sunset you can shoot the views north, with the sun setting over the hills of the Quiraing and Trotternish Ridge.
